Back Online

So a guy from the phone company came and fixed our phone line today, so I can get online now! Wahoo! This means of course that I can continue to update my blog as well as look for a job!

Well, I should also share that we got another bunny. Since all the bunny books say that bunnies need a companion, we felt the need. We also decided to call her Jessica, and change Jesse's name (since he doesn't know it) to Rico.
She is a mini lop dwarf rabbit. Of course we have to get her spayed and Rico neutered, we don't want baby bunnies! Jessica is so much smaller than Rico. I think she is a lot younger. She seems to be doing just fine adjusting to her new home. And once we get the surgeries taken care of I think they will be great companions. She is so funny though, when she runs, her ears just kind of fly everywhere.

Everything seems to be settling down with Meagan. We all had our cooling off period and it appears to be alright again.

I had an interview today over the phone with a check printing company here locally and hopefully I can get a job with them. I need one.

As soon as I can, probably tomorrow, I will put up some pictures of my niece Kharli. She is so sweet. She just turned 8 months old and is absolutely adorable. I think you will love her too.

Arguements and Orders

I will be attempting to have a pleasant weekend. Hopefully there will be success in that area. We'll see.

Before I get started, let me say that this cupcake is fantastic, I want one.

So yesterday was crap. I mentioned before that there was a bit going on about the powerbill and a certain someone's aquarium. Well, Meagan tried to pull all this crap yesterday and it really pissed me off. She threatened to move out, (which she would still have to pay rent for the rest of the lease term, in addition to wherever else she would live, DUMB) and then tried flat-out refusing to pay any bills at all. She tried to say that Drew and I don't treat her like an 'equal' that we treat her like a 'child'. Whatever, she acts like a child. She's the one who always tries to 'ask permission' to move things around in the apartment, when she lives there too. She doesn't ever turn off the light when she leaves the room, and on multiple occasions, she hasn't even locked the front door. (NOT GOOD when you live in a not so good neighborhood. EX. Her boyfriend has already had his wallet stolen.) Is it really difficult in this day and age to use some common sense?

She was really trying to blame the change in the powerbill on the air conditioner. WRONG! It hasn't been on anymore than usual. What really pissed me off was that she tried to ORDER Drew and I to keep everything off during the daytime. You see, we have several animals, she has one herself. When you turn off our airconditioner, it gets really hot in our apartment. Like 78-80 degrees. That can kill animals, if they have to deal with that for an extended period of time, especially one that stays in a crate while we are at work. Now since Drew is between jobs at the moment, which aparently I will be too after today, he is at home looking for a job. Meagan tried to order him to turn everything off during the day until she got home from work. Including the computer, his means of searching for a job. What an idiot. Ugh! I wasn't even really mad at her until she said that, and also when she said that Drew doesn't do anything, that he just sits on his ass and lets me support him. That's bull, and not to mention, um, NONE of HER BUSINESS!!!

So with all the events going down as they are, I will try to have a good weekend. Hopefully there will be no fighting, no 'name calling' (HAHA!). Hopefully everything can be pleasant. We'll See. Meanwhile, I will gaze upon that beautifully crafted cup-shaped-cake and wish it were mine.

Bad day for Me?

So when I left my last job I was having a hard time finding a new one that would pay enough, so I went with a temp agency, it took about a month or so, but they placed me with the company where I am now. Only, no one mentioned that it was going to be a permanent position. (They have ones like that where you have to work a certain amount of hours under the agency and then you can go permanent with the company you were working with.) So, today, I find out that Friday, this Friday is the last day they need me. Awesome. I'll still get two more paychecks from them, but I dont want to have to wait another month to get another job somewhere. Funding is low these days, especially with gas the way it is. So, Bad day for me.

Also, we got our powerbill yesterday and it went up, $60! Meagan refuses to believe that that increase is due to Blink's saltwater fish tank. Which , btw, requires a water pump and a heater, just to run it. When I brought this up to her, she immediately unplugged the thing. I'm not totally sure, but don't the fish need that to live?

Well, guess I better start job hunting again. Wahoo!

Kitten Coffee

I really enjoy these LoL cats. You can always find some here and there, myspace, google, or where I found this one at http://icanhascheezburger.com/ . One of my brothers likes these a lot. I will put up more when I find ones I really like.

Rabbit Scratches and Roasted Chickens

So this is my little guy Jesse. He is so sweet. We set up his cage in our room, figuring that he would have more quiet that way, since they do not like loud stuff and it's not good for them to be scared randomly.

He sleeps during the day. His being up at night doesn't bother me. I'm being told that I could sleep through a tornado. I don't think that it even bothered Drew this morning until Jesse started to chew on his cage. Apparently they do that when they are bored.

We let him run around in our hallway this weekend. He's a completely different rabbit. He'll be sitting in a corner and just pop up and land like 3 or 4 feet from where he was. We let him have some carrots and he ate some of an apple. I think he rather enjoyed it. The only thing I think he didn't like was Spud. We let them play together, but I think Jesse was more afraid of him than anything else.

Everyone keeps telling me that rabbits smell, but Jesse doesn't stink. He smells kinda good actually. If I could just get enough bandaids to keep on my hands then I would be great. I haven't had this many scratches since the last time I had a cat. Thats been at least 3 - 3 1/2 years.

Last night I cooked some small chickens for everyone. I think they turned out wonderfull. Plenty of meat left over to snack on or put with a meal for the rest of the week. Drew gave me props on it, but said that roasted isn't as fun as fried chicken. I guess I will have to fry some soon. I'm actually going to do whole pieces though, not just strips.

To get started...

I should probably share a little bit about whats goin' on in my life these days.

My name is Schuyler and I am 21 years old. I live with my boyfriend, Drew, and his sister, Meagan. Collectively we have a zoo developing in our apartment. Meagan has a ferret, we call her Spud. Her boyfriend, Blink, keeps his saltwater fish tank in her room, it currently is a home to a shrimp named Larry, a snail named Gary, and a clownfish named Nemo. Drew and I have two dogs, Ginger a two year old Chihuahua, and Rocko a one year old Daschsund. Our dwarf rabbit, who we just got a few days ago, is named Jesse. Good thing we have a large apartment, huh?

I'm starting this blog because I really think I need to share my thoughts and feelings about things that occur in my life. It would be nice to have some perspective, but it would be good enough to just let it out. I will post as often as a keyboard and internet connection are available and I'm not in a hurry. Should anyone find this and have a question or want to give their opinion, please do so. I am in no way unapproachable.
